Getting your pigs from CRSP
LOCAL PICK-UP:
We have a 'closed' caviary due to the health and safety of our pigs, which is of the highest importance. Plus, this is our own personal residence.. please understand that we are not a pet shop. We don't have customers stop by and pick out pigs. Pigs must be reserved with a deposit, at which time pick-up date will be scheduled. We are very serious about not spreading germs to our piggies.. and yours! This means we do not allow visitors (with the exception of family/friends purchasing pigs). In the event when it's best for us to do pick-up at our residence, we will bring pigs out to your vehicle.
Do Guinea Pigs Catch Viruses From People? <-- Article on preventing the spread of contagious (and often deadly) infections to your pigs.. such as upper respiratory infections.
**PLEASE remember to bring proper cages/carriers and any supplies needed for transport. ** Pigs will be cozied up in cuddle sacks/hidey house inside a large sterilite tub in our vehicle. We will help transfer them to your carrier at pick-up. You must bring a prepared (with bedding/hay) carrier, tub or box to ensure the least amount of stress to your new pig(s) on the trip home!

GROUND TRANSPORT (your own *approved* transporter):
We will work with reputable ground transporters.
Cavy Transport (Facebook) Group to join and post when looking for transporters. This group may be helpful to find a transporter coming our direction and yours.
Lori Davidson is located here in Oregon. West coast transport ONLY. Parts of Oregon, Washington and California. She works with dog rescue, but has been doing some transport for our West Coast customers.. mostly up and down the I-5 corridor. She works with other rescuers to get skinnies transported to their new homes: (541)-543-9789.
Amanda Marie Thomas (Illusion Bunny Runners) often has routes that come to us. You can join her Facebook group here: ILLUSION BUNNY RUNNERS. You must make arrangements and make payment to Amanda (and/or other transporters) before run closes. If having pigs picked up from us by Amanda, you must be added to her chat group for the particular run your pig will be traveling (example: "November/December West Run"), so you can follow along with her location to know when she is approaching your stop. You must fill out her ZOHO info form (link found in the chat group) and make transport payment to her.
Pet Transport by Paws-N-Claws is ground transport that has routes all over the US and will bring your skinnies to your home. Please contact them for a quote: (785)-280-9894 and (785)-280-9677.

Please contact transporters for additional route details/questions/to reserve your spot. Some transporters require your skinnies travel in their own crate. If this is the case, you will need to send us $20 to cover an extra small 19" size crate. If larger crate is needed, it will be a bit more. Once you are set up for transport, you may then send in deposit to reserve the pig(s) of your choice. We want to ensure transport is planned before you place your non-refundable deposit for pigs. Remaining balance for pig(s) must be paid minimum of 1 week prior to transport date!
Buyer is responsible for their pigs' health, well-being and successful transport once they leave our care. Keep in mind, transporting skinny pigs will be a very stressful experience for them. In general, the longer the trip= more stress. Young babies, especially. A travel buddy (sibling or bonded companion) is highly recommended to help minimize this stress.
All transportation details and responsibilities lie between buyer and transporter. Pigs will be cozied up in cuddle sacks or a hidey house inside a large sterilite tub in our vehicle when we meet with transporter. Your transporter must bring proper transport container/cage/tub, prepared with bedding/hay, food and water to ensure the least amount of stress to your new pig(s) on the trip home! We will help transfer pigs to their transport carrier.
Pigs and any applicable fees must be paid in full at least 1 week prior to transportation day. *If pig(s) will be traveling longer than 3 days, we will send a gallon-sized bag of pellets, as opposed to the smaller baggie that we usually send with pigs. This will be an additional $5 added on to your pig's price.

The photos below show the transformation of a crate in preparation of a cross-country flight from Oregon to Boston. Little miss Gabriella (now "Baci") was our very first baby to fly, and her shipping crate was our very first crate to modify!
*We would like to give credit to Erin Koski at Santa Barbra Skinny Pigs for the crate modification design.
